As a Program Director, you will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of projects and ensuring their alignment with the organization's objectives and business goals. Your role will involve collaborating with various stakeholders, including senior management, project managers, and multi-functional teams, to ensure the efficient delivery of IT projects.

You are responsible for the following:



  • Identify key opportunities and challenges in the IT landscape and formulate plans to address them effectively.

  • Manage and prioritize a diverse portfolio of IT and Telecoms projects, taking into account resource availability, budget constraints, and project interdependencies.

  • Engage with key stakeholders, including executives, department heads, and project teams, to understand their requirements, expectations, and feedback.

  • Assess the resource needs for each project within the IT and Telecom portfolio and allocate resources appropriately to ensure optimal project outcomes.

  • Identify potential risks and issues that may impact project success and develop risk mitigation strategies.

  • Collaborate with the finance department to establish and manage the IT program budget.

  • Regularly assess project performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as required.

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to foster a collaborative and positive work environment that promotes teamwork, professional growth, and employee satisfaction in the IT department.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in the IT field.


Qualifications



  • First degree in Computer Science or IT related fields.

  • Master's degree preferred.

  • 10+ years experience in project, program and portfolio management in a dynamic and agile med to large organization

  • 2 – 3 years experience as a Program Director (or as a Director) working with senior managers and executives

  • Demonstrated track record of successfully managing large-scale IT projects and programs.

  • Strong strategic planning and execution skills, with a focus on delivering business value through IT initiatives.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Sound understanding of IT infrastructure, software development, cybersecurity, and other relevant technology domains.

  • Proven experience in budget management and resource allocation.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a keen eye for detail.

  • ITIL4 Foundation mandatory

  • Related ITIL V3 Practitioner Certification is desired

  • Project management certifications is mandatory (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2)
