Job Summary


As a Food Safety and Quality Assurance Associate at Vendease, you will ensure that food and other related items supplied by Vendease meet food safety and regulatory standard


Responsibilities



  • Assist in monitoring and updating existing HACCP, SOP, AND QA programs, procedures, and document control programs

  • Assist in recording and analyze statistical data and recommend modifications, or suggest new standards, methods, and procedures

  • Implement quality assurance programs that effectively monitor product distribution in compliance with SOP’s, and HACCP.

  • Perform analytical tests, inspections, and monitoring of goods for specification compliance

  • Assist with supply chain inspection, approval, and audit programs

  • Implement and manage Random Microbiological testing on equipment and product

  • Prepare product and process quality reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends

  • Maintain a “floor presence” as an auditor of quality throughout the processing facility

  • Ensure maintenance and sanitation of the facility is in compliance with food safety requirements

  • Collaborates with colleagues in Supply Chain, Operations, and Quality functions to continually improve capability and process efficiency

  • Assist in making decisions concerning product quality.


Requirements



  • Minimum HND/B.Sc in Food Science, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Chemistry and other related sciences.

  • Minimum of 5 years experience working in Food safety, Quality Assurance, regulatory or related fields in a Food manufacturing/distribution or consulting companies.

  • Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory/managerial role.

  • Working knowledge of food safety, quality assurance, operation excellence, process establishment and document control.

  • ISO 22000:2018 certification is an added advantage.

  • Excellent communication skills.
