Job Description
The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for driving the development and implementation of the organization’s financial strategy as well as ensuring effective risk management. The role will oversee financial management, management information system and analytical services that help the management team optimize business decisions across the group and its subsidiaries/affiliate companies
JOB DESCIPTION
- Participate in the company’s decision process as a member of the executive committee
- Drive the company’s financial and tax planning/ strategies
- Ensure the integrity of financial management, reporting and controls of the company
- Review the organization’s capital structure and advise on the optimal capital mix including need to raise additional capital (whether debt, equity or mix)
- Drive fundraising activities, including development of Information Memo, business plans, pitch materials, etc.., and participation in other related activities including roadshows/ working with partners
- Optimize the cash management of the company
- Perform risk management by analyzing the organization’s liabilities and investments
- Decide on investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks
- Manage the budgeting & reforecast processes, implement budget control
- Drive the treasury and working capital management activities within the business
- Develop performance measures that support the company's strategic direction
- Set up and oversee the company’s finance ERP system
REQUIREMENT
- Proven experience as CFO, financial controller or senior member of the finance team. (Minimum of 5 years working in a senior finance role)
- Experience with leading preparation of management accounts and audited financial statements
- Experience with setting up/ utilizing an enterprise-wide financial reporting systems
- Experience with fund raising, investor management and corporate finance activities
- Relevant undergraduate degree and professional certification; Master’s degree in a relevant field is desirable.
