Duties
The Program Assistant – Public Relations renders administrative support to the Bureau of International Narcotics & Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) Nigeria team and is the lead action officer for external outreach regarding INL activities in Nigeria. S/he is supervised by the INL Program Management Specialist. Incumbent will serve as the management assistant and public relations assistant for INL, specifically the incumbent will be the main point of contact on public relations issues for the section, gather information and draft public engagement material, talking points, social media posts, and otherwise support external engagement. The Incumbent will also perform office management responsibilities, including scheduling and planning meetings, organize and maintain files and the shared office calendar, among other duties to support INL Nigeria, both in Abuja and Lagos. Position holder will also serve as occasional money holder.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience managing assistance for a program/project, coordinating, and managing programs/project within an office or section within a large organization, maintaining a database and/or shared documents, familiarity with communications and effective report writing work is required. Experience working with an international donor organization or equivalent work with a private or host government entity is required. Experience in other administrative duties, collection, analysis, evaluation and presentation of information is also required
JOB KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge of hosts government law enforcement agencies protocols and rules of engagement with the public is required.

Note: NYSC Certificate or Exemption document is required.
