Job Description:



  • Monitor food stock and place orders

  • Effectively manage all food items to avoid waste

  • Check food and ingredients for freshness 

  • Prepare meals for members of La Verita

  • Weigh, measure, mix and prep ingredients according to recipes

  • Slightly modify recipes to meet  the member’s needs and requests (e.g. reduce salt, remove dairy)

  • Ensure all dishes are well cooked and presented in an aesthetically pleasing way

  • Experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients

  • Ensure that the kitchen area, equipment and utensils are clean

  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area

  • Prepare daily kitchen operations reports

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
