Under general supervision and following established driving procedures, drives a delivery van or automobile within a city or area to transport visitors, guests, employees, packages, mail, materials, merchandise, or equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Transports people or delivers goods to destinations safely applying knowledge of driving regulations and roads in area in accordance to instructions given.
Verifies goods against shipping documents.
Maintains vehicle logs and performs basic maintenance. Inspects vehicle regularly to ensure optimal performance and operation.
May load and unload vehicle.
May provide emergency roadside repairs.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Typically requires a high school education or equivalent.
One year pervious work experience.
Previous driving experience, a good driving record, and safety minded.
Must posses an appropriate drivers licence.
Basic knowledge of auto mechanics.
Ability to follow directions and/or maps.
Basic reading, math, and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to care for and highly regard church vehicles and equipment.
