Job Summary

• We are hiring a Stock handler whose are of responsibility will be animals feeding, milking, care and management of calves in a large modern dairy farm.

Job Responsibilities

• All aspects of feeding of animals on the dairy farm that cuts across all ages and groups of high producing dairy animals to achieve excellent performance in milk production and growth with emphasis on quality and quantity at a competitive cost.


• Use new technologies and methods towards increased productivity and performance.


• Manage and apply all relevant farm machinery for efficient use and optimal output.


• Support the Farm manager to implement a modern and effective dairy management system to will deliver results in a sustainable manner.


• Monitor and evaluate all animals and report to the farm supervisor.


• Keep good records of farm activities and report to the farm supervisor daily.

Functional and Personal Competencies

• OND qualification


• Willingness to live on a farm


• Experience in dairy farming


• Experience working with farm animals and milking cows


• Experience with using milking machines is an added advantage.


• Basic knowledge of health, safety and environment on the farm


• Implement approved farm activities in a timely fashion to achieve best results
