Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our Finance team. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial operations, managing the accounting staff, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of accounting principles and regulations, and a proven track record of effectively managing financial processes.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Monitor cash flow and financial transactions to ensure proper liquidity management.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Supervise the accounting team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and professional growth.
- Set clear goals and objectives for the team and conduct regular performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and tax requirements.
- Coordinate and manage external audits and reviews.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial operations.
- Streamline and automate accounting processes using appropriate software and tools.
- Develop and document accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Analyze variances and trends in financial data, and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights for business planning and budgeting.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure accurate financial information and reporting.
- Collaborate with procurement, sales, and operations teams to optimize financial processes and enhance overall business performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience (at least 5+ years) in accounting, with 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and relevant accounting regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a team.
