The Cost Accountant shall be responsible for reducing the company’s financial waste and increasing profits.
He/She primary duties include determining the actual cost and the associated expenses of manufacturing a product, analysing its profitability, and compiling the company production cost budget.
Job Description
Collect and analyze data about operational costs.
Establishing the standard costs of products and services.
Develop and analyze cost standards
Carry out cost-volume-profit analysis
Establishing costs of business processes (Administration, Labour, Shipping etc)
Performing Account Reconciliations
Preparing audit reports and presenting their findings to management
Recommend changes to the company’s processes & policies to reduce cost & maximize profit
Advise Management on appropriate costing based on financial data
Manage the company’s balance sheet and accounting books
Supporting other company Accountants with invoicing and capital expenditure.
Monitor and report on production budget performances
Preparing monthly or quarterly reports within set timelines.
And any other job assigned.
Requirements
Candidates should possess an HND / B.Sc Degree with 3 - 5 years relevant work experience as a Cost Accountant in Manufacturing
