Overview:
Our Client provides bespoke real estate solutions to individuals and corporate organizations with the goal to enable and facilitate maximum returns on real estate investments.
As an Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining financial procedures and systems, accounting, auditing, reporting, collection, accuracy, tax, budgeting, and working capital management for the Company.
Responsibilities:
- Provide appropriate and accurate accounting.
- Provide appropriate cost control, and other financial management information to meet the needs of management, the board, and other recognized stakeholders.
- Provide overall direction in Accounting, Funds Management, and other Accounting strategies for efficiency
- Ensure adequate preparation and rendition of financial reports to the management, Auditors, Board, and regulatory bodies
- Undertake tax management and planning to ensure tax efficiency for the company
- Assist in the preparation of the budget and monthly budgetary control reports
- Relate with Account and Tax Auditors for annual audits
- Prepare other ad-hoc reports as may be required to establish performance objectives and targets
- Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents.
- Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
- Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information/invoices.
- Secure financial information by completing database backups.
- Prepare payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements
- Maintain financial security by following internal controls, rack transactions on balance sheets and report any discrepancies.
- Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
- Document financial transactions by entering account information.
- Recommend financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
- Summarize current financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or any related field
- 3 - 5 years of work experience in a similar role with sound knowledge of accounting processes
- Proficiency in using popular accounting software
- Ability to ensure accounting policies and procedures are followed
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong ethical principles and ability to manage confidential and sensitive financial information
- Good written and verbal communication skills
