Job Description
We are seeking a SENDCo who:
- is a mother tongue level English speaker
- holds a B.Ed. or BA/BSc and PGCE in Primary Teaching or Special Education with Qualified Teacher Status
- has extensive experience of teaching primary age children with a range of needs - including severe learning difficulties.
- can coordinate, implement and lead high quality interventions for SEND children
- is able to strategically develop our SEND policy and practice
- is able to lead and develop the SEND team and the wider staff
- knows how to form strong relationships with other support specialists and with parents/carers
- is child-centred and passionate about learning
- possesses a positive team-spirit, creativity, resilience and a good sense of humour
