Job purpose
Responsible for curating a demand forecast by products based on sales history and sales plan. Also performs supply planning activities, ensuring stock availability/cover within target at optimized inventory and cost levels to meet current and future business needs.
Responsibilities
- Generate periodic (annual/quarterly/monthly) demand plan/forecasts and budget based on historical data, customer market visibility, stock level, business/sales trends, demand patterns etc. in order to ensure the level of detail needed for decision making.
- Coordinate demand planning process via detailed collaboration with sales team to drive demand accuracy.
- Responsible for supporting the monthly Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) process, to ensure the best possible demand forecast for timely and optimal product availability across business segments and inventory cycle management.
- Coordinate monthly demand-review meeting with sales team to evaluate forecast trends, challenge numbers assumptions, understand demand driver and insure a full consensus on figures.
- Generate and analyzes metrics for actual versus forecasted variances for variance reconciliation and refine forecast.
- Develop master production schedule for glass production, detailing production sequence and lead-time in alignment with Key Account Managers and Plant Managers for each month.
- Work on all related reports for production planning, Sales and Inventory outlook used for Material Requirement Planning, Cash flow & Warehouse planning.
- Seasonal (daily, weekly & monthly) review of production plan to reflect current and future market demand output.
- Intimate Key Account Managers (KAM), Supply Chain & warehouse Supervisors on stock and Sales Order (SOD) availability
- Weekly Projection of sales target in alignment with Key Account Managers (KAM) to keep all hands-on deck to maximize sales.
- Develop supply plans and strategies for existing Stock Keeping Units (SKUs), new products, and product phase-outs.
- Track production schedules and regularly assessed data to uncover optimization strategies
- Manage supply levels to keep adequate inventory in stock while avoiding overstock or obsolete inventory.
- Drive and optimize inventory management to achieve costs reduction/working capital via inventory dispatch planning and variance tracking.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Science or Management or other related fields.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- High Analytical, Numerical & Presentation skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Navision or any other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel and MS PowerPoint Presentation
