Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Electrician to join our team. As a Senior Electrician, you will play a crucial role in overseeing electrical projects, leading a team of electricians, and ensuring the safe and efficient installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining our high standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Lead and supervise a team of electricians to ensure successful completion of electrical projects. Provide guidance, training, and support to team members.
- Installation and Maintenance: Perform complex electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance in accordance with established codes, guidelines, and safety standards. This includes wiring, lighting, circuitry, transformers, panels, and other electrical components.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, utilizing advanced knowledge of electrical systems and equipment. Implement effective solutions to ensure minimal downtime and optimal system performance.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and regulations while working on electrical systems. Identify and mitigate potential hazards, and promote a culture of safety among the team.
- Blueprint Reading: Interpret and comprehend electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams. Translate these into actionable plans for the team.
- Quality Control: Conduct inspections and quality checks to verify that electrical work meets industry standards and company specifications. Make necessary adjustments or corrections as needed.
- Material Management: Coordinate and manage the procurement of electrical materials, tools, and equipment required for projects. Maintain an organized inventory and oversee resource allocation.
- Documentation: Keep accurate records of all electrical work performed, including maintenance logs, repairs, installations, and inspections.
- Training and Development: Identify training needs within the team and provide mentorship to junior electricians. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements to enhance team capabilities.
- Customer Interaction: Interact with clients to understand their electrical needs, provide recommendations, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. Address any concerns or questions professionally.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited apprenticeship program.
- Valid electrician's license and relevant certifications.
- Proven experience as a journeyman electrician, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior or supervisory role.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, codes, regulations, and safety procedures.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting complex electrical issues.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and work under pressure.
- Proficiency in using electrical tools, equipment, and software applications.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to work in various environments and conditions.
