Responsibilities

• Model discipline, integrity and good moral standing to the students.


• Monitor behavioural and social interaction of the students.


• Ensure students adhere to hostel and bell schedules and are always on time for all activities.


• Provide emotional support and counselling when needed.


• Undertake periodic Inspection of the students and hostel facility.


• Ensure the hostel is a comfortable and safe environment for students to thrive in.


• Keep all hostel official documents and prepare reports periodically.


• Ensure that all incidents are properly documented.


• Lead and drive students participation in all indoor and outdoor activities required.


• Supervise prep activities. Monitor students' academic performance and provide support where necessary.


• Conduct fire drill from time to time.


• Lead the students in all religious activities. Implement all programs mapped out for the students.

Requirements

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.


• Minimum of 3 years work experience as a Hostel Parent.


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


• A good understanding of the school system


• Active listening skills.


• Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.


• Detail-oriented with excellent Time-management skills.


• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate well and respond patiently and effectively to the requests of students, parents, and staff


• Professional, enthusiastic, self-motivated,andflexible.
