We are looking for a facility manager that will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and safe operation of our facilities. The facility manager will be responsible for ensuring that the physical environment, infrastructure, and services meet the needs of the organization, employees, and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of the facility's physical infrastructure, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Collaborate with department heads to optimize space utilization.
- Develop and manage budgets for facility operations, maintenance, and capital projects.
- Oversee relationships with external service providers, contractors, and suppliers who are responsible for various aspects of facility operations, such as cleaning, security, landscaping, and equipment maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Implement safety protocols, conduct inspections, and address any potential hazards or risks to maintain a safe working environment.
- Implement and manage security measures, including access controls, surveillance systems, and emergency response plans, to safeguard the facility, employees, and assets.
- Implement strategies to improve energy efficiency and sustainability within the facility, which may include initiatives like energy-saving lighting, waste reduction, and environmentally friendly practices.
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans for various scenarios, such as fires, natural disasters, and other emergencies.
- Oversee facility-related projects, such as renovations, expansions, or relocations. This involves coordinating with various stakeholders, managing timelines, and ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to maintenance activities, and expenditures.
- Train and supervise facility staff, ensuring a high standard of work.
General Skills & Requirement
- Bachelor's Degree in Facility Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in facility management, preferably within the food manufacturing industry.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage teams and collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address operational challenges.
- Understanding of preventive maintenance principles and experience in managing maintenance programs.
- Knowledge of budgeting, cost control, and resource management.
- Familiarity with relevant software applications for facility and inventory management.
- Knowledge of safety and regulatory requirements for food manufacturing industry.
