Job Description



  • The fleet tracking officer is responsible for ensuring that the company’s vehicles are tracked and managed for effectiveness.

  • Responsible for tracking of vehicles.

  • Monitor all vehicles and report their status.

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive preventive adherence program for the company’s fleet.

  • Drive the implementation of policies and procedures for fleet management

  • Advise staff on all legal and compliance matters relating to vehicles

  • Escalate drivers/vehicles that default on their vehicle tracking.

  • Perform periodic vehicle inspection, report incidences and provide recommendations

  • Review of weekly and monthly reports and summarizing pertinent points.

  • Provide detailed periodic reports of vehicle status (locations, speed, violations, and usage).

  • Identify trends, poor driving behavior, etc and escalate accordingly

  • Pre and post vehicle delivery inspections

  • Manage the process of fleet presentation, accident reporting, willful damages by drivers, vehicle maintenance and servicing.

  • Support other teams and functions as required by the business.


Requirements / Skills and Competencies



  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree / HND qualification with at least 2 years work experience.

  • Bus operations

  • Maintenance Scheduling

  • In-depth knowledge of authentic vehicle parts and accessories.

  • Good project management and organizational skills

  • Knowledge of vehicle licensing procedures.

  • Demonstrated leadership and people management skills

  • Good oral and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency in the use of applicable MS Office support tools.

  • Team management

  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.

  • In-depth knowledge of current/ prevailing traffic laws and regulations.

  • Working knowledge of software applications (e.g., vehicle tracking and scheduling application).
