Role Overview



  • The French Teacher at Charterhouse Lagos plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality French language classes to students, fostering a love for the French language and Francophone cultures.

Responsibilities:


Curriculum Development and Delivery:



  • Develop a comprehensive French language curriculum that aligns with the school’s educational goals and meets national and international language standards.

  • Design and deliver engaging lessons that cater to students’ varying levels of proficiency, integrating speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.

  • Incorporate a variety of learning focussed strategies, resources, and authentic materials to make language learning meaningful and enjoyable.


Language Proficiency and Fluency:



  • Demonstrate a high level of fluency in the French language, serving as a linguistic model for students.

  • Teach proper pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, and sentence structure, ensuring students develop accurate language skills.

  • Provide opportunities for authentic language use through role-plays, discussions, and interactive activities.

  • Cultural Understanding and Appreciation:
