Location: South-South Nigeria (Port Harcourt, Bayelsa, Calabar)


Role Overview: As the Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing a team of sales representatives, and developing strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders. Your strategic thinking, leadership skills, and industry knowledge will be instrumental in achieving revenue targets and expanding our market share in the region.


Responsibilities:



  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for the assigned area, aligning with the company's goals and objectives.

  • Manage and lead a team of sales representatives, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure optimal performance.

  • Set clear sales targets and objectives for the team, monitoring progress and taking corrective actions as necessary.

  • Build and nurture relationships with key clients, distributors, and retailers to drive sales and enhance brand loyalty.

  • Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and challenges within the region.

  • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop and implement effective promotional campaigns and initiatives.

  • Monitor sales data, track market share, and prepare regular reports to provide insights and recommendations to senior management.

  • Manage budgets, expenses, and resources efficiently to maximize profitability while maintaining a high standard of customer service.

  • Identify and address potential operational bottlenecks or customer issues in a timely manner.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to remain competitive in the market.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.

  • years of experience in sales management within the alcoholic beverage industry, demonstrating a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse sales team.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable strategies.

  • Proficiency in using CRM software and MS Office Suite.

  • In-depth knowledge of the alcoholic beverage industry, market trends, and consumer behavior.

  • A valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned area.
