Position Overview:

• We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Full Stack Software Engineer who will not only play a crucial role in the technical development of our streaming platform but also lead a team of developers, manage projects, provide architectural guidance, and oversee DevOps processes.


• The ideal candidate is not only an exceptional coder but also a visionary leader who can drive innovation and excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and manage a team of developers including UI/UX Designers, Front End Developers, and Back End Developers.


• Architect and design scalable and robust solutions for our Subscription VOD platform across Android, iOS, Web, Roku, and Amazon Fire TV.


• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.


• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to team members.


• Hands-on coding and development using Java, Spring Boot, React Native, Flutter, Dart, AWS S3, AWS Media Services, and Digital Ocean.


• Oversee the implementation of best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.


• Ensure high performance, availability, and security of the platform.


• Lead continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.


• Drive innovation and stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.

REQUIREMENTS/ EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field.


• Proven experience (7+ years) in software development, with a strong emphasis on full-stack development.


• Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, React, React Native, Flutter, Dart, AWS S3, AWS Media Services, and Digital Ocean.


• Experience in leading and managing development teams, including remote and distributed teams.


• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make critical decisions.


• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.


• Prior experience in architecture design and solution development for streaming platforms such as IROKO, ShowMax, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Afrinolly, and ibakatv, preferred.


• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
