Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the business development division, orchestrating efforts to achieve annual targets.
- Foster demand and revenue growth in our Warehousing segment through strategic business development.
- Cultivate a deep understanding of our company's offerings to pinpoint lucrative business prospects.
- Evaluate past business development strategies, providing actionable recommendations for refinement.
- Drive team performance by mentoring and implementing effective performance management strategies.
- Identify and pursue potential clients, converting leads into revenue opportunities.
- Employ targeted cold-calling within your designated market to maintain a robust opportunity pipeline.
- Identify key decision-makers within potential client organizations and establish valuable connections.
- Cultivate new business relationships through meticulous research and engagement efforts.
- Offer well-informed, research-backed business development insights to stakeholders.
- Facilitate meetings between client decision-makers and our practice leaders.
- Strategize and tailor pitches to resonate with potential clients.
- Collaborate with the team to craft proposals aligned with client needs.
- Compile necessary documentation for requests for proposals (RFPs).
- Skillfully address objections, guiding discussions towards positive resolutions.
- Utilize persuasive and negotiation techniques with a professional demeanor.
- Devise and implement a comprehensive strategy for achieving monthly sales targets.
- Conduct regular Monthly Performance Reviews (MPRs) with your team.
- Undertake additional assignments as delegated by your Line Manager.
Qualifications and Experience Required
- Bachelor's Degree or higher.
- 4 years of post-university work experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role or managing a team
- Essential experience in the Warehousing business domain.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven track record in leading and motivating sales and marketing teams.
- Excellent knowledge of the Nigerian Supply Chain space.
- Proficient time management and organizational skills.
- Strong aptitude for research and strategic thinking.
- Effective communication, interpersonal and influencing skills Sound ethical judgment and decision-making prowess.
