Job Description



  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the drilling and wellhead workshop, ensuring efficient workflow and resource allocation.

  • Collaborate with drilling engineers and clients to understand equipment requirements and provide technical expertise.

  • Lead equipment maintenance, repair, and calibration activities in compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

  • Supervise and mentor a team of technicians, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations.

  • Enforce strict health and safety protocols within the workshop to prevent accidents and ensure a safe work environment.

  • Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and inspections, adhering to documentation standards.

  • Collaborate with procurement to manage inventory levels and order necessary materials and components.

  • Conduct quality checks on completed drilling and wellhead equipment to ensure they meet required specifications.

  • Troubleshoot complex equipment issues and provide technical support to the team.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in equipment maintenance and production.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and new technologies related to drilling and wellhead equipment

  • Perform comprehensive tests and analyses to verify the performance, safety, and durability of equipment.

  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of inspections, tests, and quality control measures.

  • Collaborate closely with drilling engineers, manufacturing teams, and suppliers to address quality-related issues and ensure corrective actions are taken.

  • Investigate the root causes of equipment failures or quality issues and recommend effective corrective and preventive measures.

  • Ensure strict compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company quality policies.

  • Provide training to staff on proper quality control procedures and best practices.

  • Develop and implement systems for ongoing monitoring of equipment quality and performance.

  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance overall product quality and efficiency.


Qualifications



  • University Degree in Engineering

  • 15 years and above in the relevant field

  • Must have a valid International Well Control Forum (IWCF) certificate

  • Valid BOSIET/HUET certificate

  • Valid Offshore medical certificate confirming fitness to work offshore.

  • Must be able to present a competence profile showing relevant experience in deepwater offshore rig

  • Proficiency in computer usage
