Purpose of the position 

The CHN will deliver quality community and home-care based, preventive, promotive and selected basic curative health services within the assigned clusters. The CHN will be deployed to expand the clinic’s reach through EHA Clinics homecare model, and will be provided with homecare kits and a means of transportation to provide health services to people who cannot access care due to proximity or incapacitation. They will also serve as a referral point to EHA Clinics for medical cases beyond their capacity.

The CHN will work in close collaboration with stakeholders to create awareness and increase demand for healthcare services and products, social insurance, and other products/services to improve health and wellbeing. 

Requirements

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to successfully perform this job.

• A minimum of Nursing certificate


• Active membership of Community Based Organizations (CBO)  and/or work within the private health sector is highly desirable. 


• Must come from the assigned community and must be able to communicate proficiently in appropriate language of the assigned cluster.


• High level of patience and tolerance in dealing with community people 


• Experience in conducting interpersonal communication.
