RESPONSIBILITY
As the Commercial Planner-Category Management, you are responsible to play a vital role in driving Product growth and profitability through effective commercial strategies and operations.
- Expand the use of data as a strategic enabler of corporate sales goals and objectives
- Monthly review of the category performance against Target
- Lead the development of preparing category management plans and presentations for key customers using multiple data sources, and present findings to appropriate teams/customers in support of business plan.
- Strategize on ways to improve and develop the under-developed brands while expanding the already developed brands
- Assist in driving category development principles with key customers to differentiate our client from
- competition to attain increased distribution, space and display resulting in increased sales and profit.
- Analyze and interpret information in order to identify opportunities and enhance category performance, incorporating all streams of Sales channels to the business objectives.
- Provide product trainings to sales-related channels, viz-a-viz: B2B, B2C, Retail stores, and other sales units.
- Manage key brands amongst others.
- Act in the capacity of a Business Development Management by developing New Brands
- Develop and manage product Categories
- Devise long-term development strategies for product categories
- Develop exit strategies for unsuccessful products
- Create and present strategic insights for the Business unit to gain alignment of major initiatives at multiple levels of the organization
- Maintain the P&L and develop annual and quarterly category strategic plans by conducting financial analysis of the business.
- Manage the entire physical product lifecycle, from strategic activities to tactical implementation, including product portfolio idea generation.
- Manage inventory and effectively planning and forecasting in order to maximize the profitability of the inventory flow. Balancing projected forecasts and actual sales.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, finance, and operations, to ensure effective execution of commercial plans.
- Deliver Month on Month sales growth for the Company in line with agreed Budgets and strategy.

- Proven track record of success in commercial leadership roles, with a strong focus on revenue growth and business development into ICT markets.
- Strategic thinker with a deep understanding of commercial operations and the ability to develop and implement effective strategies.
- Experience in working successfully in driving customer solutions through diverse sales channels.
- Experience of successfully leading sales strategies for both distribution and OEM customers
- Familiarity with pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and customer relationship management.
- Experience with commercial processes, tools, and systems.
