Responsibilities

Guest Reception:



  • Greet arriving guests with a friendly and welcoming attitude.

  • Escort guests to their tables and ensure they are comfortable.

  • Handle guest inquiries, reservations, and special requests promptly and courteously.


Seating Management:



  • Manage the flow of guests and table assignments efficiently.

  • Coordinate with servers to balance workload and ensure even distribution of guests.

  • Maintain awareness of table turnover and be prepared to seat new guests promptly.


Reservations:



  • Receive and confirm reservations over the phone, in-person, or through online platforms.

  • Keep an organized record of reservations and manage any changes or cancellations.


Waiting Area and Reception:



  • Ensure the waiting area is clean, organized, and comfortable for guests.

  • Keep track of guest waiting times and communicate delays, if any, courteously.


Menu and Specials:



  • Familiarize yourself with the menu and daily specials to answer guest questions.

  • Assist guests with menu choices and provide recommendations as needed.


Collaboration:



  • Work closely with the kitchen and serving staff to maintain smooth communication and operations.

  • Relay any guest preferences, allergies, or special requests to the appropriate personnel.


Upselling and Promotion:



  • Promote additional services, special promotions, and loyalty programs to enhance the guest experience.

  • Upsell menu items and beverages to increase revenue.


Appearance and Professionalism:



  • Maintain a polished and professional appearance at all times.

  • Adhere to company uniform and grooming standards.


Conflict Resolution:



  • Handle guest complaints or issues with patience and empathy.

  • Escalate any complex situations to a supervisor or manager as needed.


Qualifications



  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Friendly and approachable demeanor.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to multitask and handle high-pressure situations.

  • Customer service experience is a plus.

  • Familiarity with reservation management systems is beneficial.

  • Knowledge of menu items and culinary preferences is advantageous.

  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
