Job Summary:



  • Our client, a pharmaceutical company is seeking a skilled and motivated Human Resources Officer to join their team. The ideal candidate must live around the Nyanya or Maraba Area of Abuja, Nigeria and should have a strong background in English, communication, excellent interpersonal skills, and a passion for fostering a positive and productive work environment.

  • As the Human Resources Officer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the company's HR functions and contributing to the overall success of the organization.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and programs in alignment with company objectives and Nigerian labor laws.

  • Coordinate the recruitment process, including job posting, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and facilitating the selection process.

  • Manage the onboarding and orientation of new employees, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.

  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.

  • Administer employee benefits and compensation, addressing queries and providing guidance to employees as needed.

  • Facilitate performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development plans.

  • Handle employee relations matters, mediating conflicts, and ensuring a positive work environment.

  • Support training and development initiatives by identifying employee skill gaps and coordinating relevant training programs.

  • Assist in the implementation of diversity and inclusion initiatives to create a culturally inclusive workplace.

  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in HR to contribute innovative ideas and strategies to enhance HR operations.

  • Prepare regular HR reports and dashboards for management, highlighting key metrics and trends.


Qualifications and Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in English, Human Resources or a related field.

  • Proven experience working in human resources roles, preferably

  • Strong understanding of Nigerian labor laws and regulations.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and build relationships at all levels.

  • Proficient in using HR software, Microsoft Office Suite, and HR databases.

  • Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

  • Problem-solving attitude with a proactive approach to addressing challenges.

  • Knowledge of diversity and inclusion principles is a plus.

  • Resides within or near the Maraba Area of Abuja, Nigeria.
