Our client requires the services of a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to handle geotechnical analysis, designs, risk assessments, and reports required to deliver projects on quality, time, and budget.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive site investigations to assess soil properties.
- Analyse collected data to determine foundation design and construction requirements.
- Design and recommend appropriate foundation systems for railway structures.
- Assess slope stability to prevent potential landslides or soil instability.
- Design retaining walls and embankments for safe railway construction.
- Propose ground improvement techniques to enhance soil bearing capacity.
- Evaluate seismic risks and design structures to withstand potential failures.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with geotechnical design.
- Install and oversee monitoring of geotechnical instruments for real-time data collection.
- Prepare detailed geotechnical reports and provide recommendations to the project team.
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to integrate geotechnical aspects.
- Address unforeseen geotechnical challenges during railway construction.
- Conduct environmental impact assessments related to geotechnical work.
- Ensure health and safety compliance on the construction site, particularly in relation to geotechnical hazards.
