Responsibilities
- Responsible for driving profitable growth on company’s portfolio of innovative products, solutions & services in Nigeria.
- Responsibilities include developingstrategic marketing plans and overseeing the implementation of plans and activities to ensure achievement of business goals.
- Responsible for the projects required to deliver the sales strategy.
- Prepare, articulate & implement the Marketing Plan as per Group Management cycle, input into Country Business Plan & strategic decisions.
- Develop a deep understanding of the local industry: its segments, its players, competitors, influencers, decision makers, trends and opportunities.
- Identify market opportunities by segment and develop innovative solutions, services & products based on a clear understanding of customer needs.
- Assess customer excellence maturity & action plans.
- Drive customer discoveries in all user segments & RTM channels and preparation of Value Cases with growth & EBITDA targets.
- Build action plans for Affiliated Retail.
- Prepare & implement Customer Excellence actions plans on its 5 pillars (i.e. Sales Excellence, Offer Range Management, Customer Experience Management, Price & Margin Management and Commercial Branding) to progressively improve the skills and maturity of the commercial organization.
- Work with Group and Regional ‘Growth & Innovation’ (G&I) experts to transfer knowledge, skills and best practices to develop them at the Country level.
- Sales Excellence: Work with Sales team to ensure the development of effective sales tools & skills for assigned segments and products.
- Customer Experience Management: Continuously tracks the Customer Experience and performance of Company’s sales and services through the Net Promoter Score (NPS) methodology.
- Ensures that the NPS result, feedback and action dashboard are
- regularly shared with EXCO and all relevant managers and that strong and robust corrective / improvement actions are implemented in all customer related processes.
- Offer Range Management: Carry out a comprehensive ‘Product Portfolio Review’ (PPR) across the country to define user segments and applications. Based on PPR develop value added solutions, services & product offers. Challenge commercial objectives and action plans for all product lines.
- Commercial Branding: Develop the Country Branding and market communication strategy using Group tools (e.g. Brand box) & ensure its effective implementation including digital solutions.
- Develop & build the Transition to Retail Strategy in Nigeria (D2R business model).
- Strengthen the long-term strategic objectives of the business in conjunction with the other ExCo members.
- Ensure business growth through directing and managing business development activities to ensure these are delivered in accordance with the organizational strategy. RTM & GTM Plan & Digital Plan through SAP roll-out,
- Direct and manage business development activities related to the Retail Project : Distribution Management and Affiliation business model development
- Provide overall distribution channels leadership for the business scope to ensure the growth
Desired Skills and Experience
- Graduate in Engineering or Social Sciences with Post-Graduate qualification in Management
- 10-15 years’ experience in a smilar senior Sales and Marketing role within an international manufacturing corporation
- Good knowledge of marketing channels & prescriptive selling.
- Track record in Innovation and new solutions.
- Experience in leading projects. Project management qualification will be an asset
- Managerial and leadership skills
