ROLE SUMMARY



  • The Business Development Executive role is a Senior Officer level position and will assist the Head Technical Operations in developing strategies to boost Insurance product sales, assist clients with filing insurance claims, maintaining customers database and various other quality-assurance-related duties as required.


 Job Responsibilities



  • Oversee the development of sales techniques and methods

  • Drive and deliver strategies to boost Insurance product sales

  • Develop and maintain customer database, manage customer relationship 

  • Convert leads to actual sales

  • Answer first line enquiries take and direct calls

  • Develop new business and third- party credit opportunities

  • Assist clients with filing Insurance claims and advice on the Insurance policies that best suits their needs

  • Maintain and implement existing customer services policies on service excellence

  • Keep abreast all latest industry and marketing trends and best practices

  • Research and source potential clients and build long-term relationships with them

  • Secure additional revenue streams from upselling and cross selling

  • Provide periodic reports as required for the Head Technical Operations, management and executives using approved formats

  • Manage client renewals, including renewal of documents, quotations and accounting procedures ensuring financial requirements and regulations are adhered to


Essential Skills & Qualifications



  • 3-4years of cognate experience 

  • Degree in any numerate discipline

  • Professional certification in relevant Insurance qualifications

  • Knowledge on the principles, practices and legalities of General Insurance

  • Knowledge of Nigerian Insurance industry

  • Experience in the usage of MsOffice tools and ERP system

  • Experience in full sales cycle including deal closing Demonstrated sales success.

  • Strong negotiation skills

  • Strong communication and presentation skills
