QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma, OND, HND or relevant qualification.
- Certification on Advance Fire Fighting Training.
- Candidate must reside in Ikorodu or its environs
- Fire Risk Management Principles
- Knowledge of NFPA
- A minimum of 3 years full-time firefighting experience is required.
- Outstanding physical strength and stamina.
- Excellent knowledge of first aid and CPR techniques
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Preventing, combating, and extinguishing fires with the goal of protecting lives, the environment and property
- Work with and provide support to Fire & Explosion Equipment Vendors on the general maintenance of firefighting equipment
- Inspect and implement health and safety regulations in the Mill.
- Coordinate with local federal and state fire service departments.
- Conduct routine Inspection and Monitor of Fire & Explosion equipment; firetruck, extinguishers, hydrants, jockey pump and water supply, etc.
- Supervise all hot work activities
- Analyze scenes of fire or accidents to identify possible causes.
- Conduct inspection and prepare detailed incident reports and submit them to management.
- Participate in regular fire drills.
- Participating and Assist with the promotion and of fire safety talks, seminars, drills, and training sessions.
- Operating tools and equipment used for firefighting safely and effectively
- Analysing hazardous situations and thinking of quick solutions and actions
- Maintaining a clean environment in all through the facility
- Carry out other activities as assigned
- Functional Standard
- Knowledge of NFPA,
- Knowledge of ISO 45001 and 14001 system.
- Fire Risk Management Principles
- Factory Act.
- Knowledge of KC EHS system and programs.
- Understanding of contractor management
