Job Description
Job Summary & Purpose:
Responsible for ensuring a product or service meets the established standards of quality including reliability, usability and performance. The position assures compliance with ISO 9001:2015 QMS requirements, company requirements, customer requirements and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:
- Draft quality assurance policies and procedures, standards and/or specifications
- Interpret and implement quality control standards.
- Evaluate adequacy of quality control standards.
- Devise sampling procedures and directions for recording and reporting quality data.
- Review the implementation and efficiency of quality and inspection systems.
- Plan, conduct and monitor testing and inspection of materials and products to ensure finished products met quality requirement.
- Assessing customer requirements and ensuring that these are met consistently.
- Directing departmental objectives to maximize profitability through resource planning and optimization.
- Responsible for declaring that a product is not safe or is not of the specified quality.
- Document internal audits and other quality assurance activities and direct for Management’s attention promptly where required.
- Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues timely with recommendations and resolutions needed.
- Collect and compile statistical quality data to drive improved production quality.
- Analyze data to identify areas for improvement in the quality system.
- Develop, recommend and monitor corrective and preventive actions.
- Prepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities.
- Supervise the Quality Control and Quality Assurance unit.
- Identify training needs and organize training interventions to meet quality standards.
- Coordinate and support on-site audits conducted by Internal and external providers.
- Evaluate product related audit findings and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- Monitor production and product related risk management activities.
- Responsible for document management systems around production activities.
- Assure ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements.
- Comply with information security policy of the company.
Person Specifications, Academic Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree or HND
- Certifications an advantage including Quality Auditor, Quality Engineer, Quality Improvement Associate, Six Sigma.
Professional Qualification
- Professional qualification will be an advantage
Experience
- 10 valid years of relevant work experience
- Quality inspection, auditing and testing experience
- Experience with implementation of corrective action programs
- Product or industry-specific experience
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and databases
- Knowledge of tools, concepts and methodologies of QA
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements.
