Role:

• The Senior Accountant is an important role within the company. We require a strategic and commercial finance executive with extensive experience in the fintech start-up and scale-up world.


• The senior accountant will play a key role in fund raising for growth, investor relations, and business planning.


• The Senior Accountant will lead the finance team, creating a financial operating model that is robust, scalable, and designed to support organic and inorganic growth.


• They will manage financial planning, forecasting, reporting and budgets globally.


• They will also partner closely with the CEO, providing guidance, support and counsel as the business continues to grow.

Responsibilities:

• Financial Strategy: Develop and execute the company's financial strategy aligned with VPD.MONEY's long-term goals and market expansion plans.


• Financial Planning and Analysis: Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling efforts to ensure accurate financial projections and guide strategic decisions.


• Risk Management: Identify and manage financial risks, implement risk mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations in all operating regions.


• Capital Management: Oversee capital allocation, fundraising, and financing activities to support business growth and optimize the company's capital structure.


• Financial Reporting: Drive timely and accurate financial reporting, both internally and externally, ensuring transparency and accountability to stakeholders.


• Investor Relations: Manage relationships with investors and analysts, providing them with insights into the company's financial performance and growth prospects.


• Mergers and Acquisitions: Evaluate potential merger and acquisition opportunities, conducting due diligence, and leading negotiations to support the company's growth initiatives.


• Treasury and Cash Management: Develop efficient cash management strategies, monitor liquidity, and optimize working capital to support day-to-day operations.


• Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing finance team, providing mentorship, guidance, and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Experience Required:

• Proven track record as a senior financial executive in the Fintech industry, with experience spanning multiple markets.


• Strong understanding of Fintech business models, regulatory environments, and industry trends in the regions.


• Demonstrated success in developing and implementing financial strategies that support business growth, scalability, and sustainability.


• Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling.


• A minimum of 5 years’ experience

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or relevant postgraduate degree is highly desirable.


• Professional certification such as CFA, CPA, or equivalent is a plus.


• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams, investors, and external partners.


• Strategic mindset with the ability to think creatively and drive innovation within the finance function.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with a high level of attention to detail.
