The Manager, Learning & Development will assess learning and performance develop- ment needs for the company and is accountable for partnering with business line and department leaders to develop, facilitate and manage the execution of training pro- grams that meet the needs of our business units.
This individual is also responsible for partnering with department leaders to build and facilitate onboarding, technical and soft-skills training and continuous professional development programs.
The successful candidate will design a learning & development curriculum, through a wide variety of programs, that enhances the effectiveness of our workforce and create a best-in-class experience for our associates.
This position will require interactions with all levels in the organization. We are looking for an accomplished Learning & Development Manager to provide strategic direction on talent, learning, career, and leadership development.
Core Responsibilities
Increasing individual and general productivity
Designing new training strategies
Obtain and /or develop effective training materials utilizing a variety of media.
Train and coaches' managers, supervisors and others involved in employee development efforts.
Plan, organize, facilitate and order supplies for employee development and training events.
Develop and maintain organizational communications such as intranet bulletin boards and newsletters to ensure employees have knowledge of training and development events and resources.
Conduct follow-up studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure results.
Exemplify the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.
Using learning theories to inform the direction of training schemes. Negotiating project budgets and allocating resources to different tasks Designing workshops, e-learning, or seminars to train individuals to perform new or existing tasks in an efficient manner.
Managing the succession when long-standing or senior individuals depart Creating measures to evaluate the financial success of a new training scheme.
Requirements and Skills
B.Sc / BA in Business, Psychology, or a related field
Professional certification (e.g., CPLP) is a plus
Up to 10 years' experience as an L&D Manager, Training Manager or similar
Current knowledge of effective learning and development methods
Familiarity with e-learning platforms and practices
