Job Summary:
The Manager, Information Network will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of our customer's information network infrastructure. This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and strategic thinking to ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of our customer’s network systems.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of network engineers, technicians, and administrators to ensure efficient and effective operation of the customer's information network.
- Design and implement network architectures that align with the customer's business goals, ensuring high availability, redundancy, and optimal performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and address network requirements for various departments, projects, and initiatives.
- Plan and execute network upgrades, migrations, and expansions in coordination with the customer’s IT infrastructure roadmap.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously enhance network infrastructures.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to network configurations, protocols, and procedures.
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and assess third-party solutions for network-related products and services.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for customers and team members.
- Collaborate with the IT leadership to align network strategies with the overall IT strategy and contribute to the development of IT policies and standards.
Qualifications:
- Candidate must have consistently managed an annual financial portfolio minimum of #500,000,000 in the IT sector.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience (8+ years) in network engineering, administration, or related roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management capacity.
- In-depth knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, routing, switching, and network security.
- Experience with network monitoring and management tools.
- Relevant Professional certifications
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make strategic decisions in a dynamic environment.
- Leadership skills to inspire and motivate the team, promote a positive work culture, and foster professional growth.
- Project management experience, including planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance related to network security.
