Duties and Responsibilities



  • The primary responsibility of the Cinema Head of Operations is to oversee all operational aspects of the facility and ensure a top notch cinema experience for all customers.

  • Responsible for the effective and efficient smooth day-to-day control of activities of all cinema facilities includingthe box office, concession stands, restrooms, lobbies/foyer and auditorium.

  • Trains, appraise and supervise staff.

  • Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage especially during peak movie yimes and special events

  • Ensures a high level of customer service,address customer complaints or issues and maintain a welcome and safe environment for all customers.

  • Monitor the inventory and ordering for concessions and merchandise.

  • Upholds Genesis’s business practice standard and follow all established company policies and procedures.

  • Analyze attendance,revenue and customer feedback to make data driven decisions toimprove operations

  • Develop strategies to increase attendance and revenue

  • Schedules movies into the appropriate time slots (leaving sufficient time intervals between movies to allow quick cleaning of theatres) and the appropriate capacity theatres with a view to optimizing revenue generated.

  • Is acutely conscious of the Cinema’s monthly financial target and does everything and anything possible to achieve the financial target.

  • Organize and oversee special events,premieres and private screenings.


Qualification and Experience



  • Qualification: B.Sc Degree or HND in Business Management, Hospitality or related field (preferred).

  • 3-5 years experience in Cinema management or a similar role (Compulsory)

  • Exceptional customer service skills.

  • Good interpersonal and Communication skills and customer service abilities

  • Must be a good Team player with excellent ability to multi-tasking and able to adapt to varying situations.

  • Creative problem solving skills

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
