JOB DESCRIPTION:
- As an Online Vendor Procurement Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the procurement of high-quality materials and products essential for our client's wine and spirits production.
- You will focus on managing and optimizing vendor relationships, sourcing digital procurement opportunities, and streamlining the procurement process to maintain our reputation for excellence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Vendor Relationship Management:
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new online vendors, ensuring they align with our quality and sustainability standards.
- Foster and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with existing vendors to secure the best terms, quality, and value.
Digital Procurement:
- Stay updated on industry trends and online platforms for sourcing and procurement.
- Utilize e-procurement tools and digital platforms to streamline the procurement process, maximize efficiency, and reduce costs.
Quality Assurance:
- Collaborate with quality control teams to establish and maintain stringent quality standards for all materials and products procured.
- Monitor vendor performance to ensure adherence to quality specifications.
Cost Optimization:
- Negotiate favorable pricing, terms, and contracts with vendors to achieve cost savings.
- Continuously assess market conditions to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate records, contracts, and documentation related to procurement transactions.
Inventory Management:
- Collaborate with inventory management teams to optimize stock levels and minimize overstock or shortages.
- Forecast procurement needs based on production and sales forecasts.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in vendor procurement and management, preferably in the beverage or alcohol industry.
- Familiarity with e-procurement tools and digital procurement platforms.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Knowledge of wine and spirits production processes (preferred but not required).
