Job Description



  • Design of the overall architecture (front & backend) of websites as needed.

  • Collaborate with different teams in outlining each website/mobile application's objective and determining specifications, requirements and scope.

  • Create wireframes and roadmaps to determine layouts and understand the principles of design (layout and typography).

  • Purchase, set up and manage multiple domains, SSL Certificates and Email servers.

  • Coordinate multiple development projects, assign timeframes and delegate tasks to team members where appropriate.

  • Run to end-user testing on multiple applications ensure seamless functionality.

  • Debug websites, and write and review code for various applications of a website where required.

  • Ensure the responsiveness of websites across various devices and platforms.

  • Able to develop and deploy various products using Amazon Web Services (AWS).

  • Collaborate with other developers on complex projects, creating new solutions, implementing new features and or enhancing existing websites.

  • Manage all the activities of the software development team and set goals for each team member to ensure timely project delivery.

  • Ensure each website design, layout, and coding is optimized for search and perform regular tests on website SEO rankings.

  • Be responsible for on-page optimization of websites to improve their SEO rankings this includes tactics such as optimizing titles, meta tags, anchor text, etc.

  • Work with the Social Media Team in researching targeted keywords to guide digital marketing strategies.

  • Work with the IT Lead in overseeing all aspects of the IT Department: IT Support, Infrastructure, Development, Data & Cyber Security.

  • Work with the IT Support Team to ensure the smooth running of our computer systems and other gadgets.

  • Work with the IT Information team to ensure proper documentation and ticketing practices are followed.

  • Build relationships with outside vendors for IT-related products and services.

  • Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures.

  • Ensure compliance with IT and company policies, procedures, and standards and contributes to continuous process improvement

  • Stay abreast of new technologies, industry trends and best practices in web development.

  • Provide other technical support as needed by responding to staff inquiries, and resolving technical problems.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Requirements



  • 5 - 7 years of experience in web development specifically building web pages from scratch.

  • In-depth knowledge of at least one of the following programming languages: Javascript, Ruby or PHP.

  • Solid knowledge of HTML/CSS.

  • Experience with mockup and UI prototyping tools.

  • Strong understanding of software architecture and software development fundamentals.

  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and current design patterns/practices.

  • Working knowledge of operating systems and network protocols.

  • Able to diagnose and resolve basic IT Issues.

  • Willingness to work overtime when required.

  • Able to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift equipment.

  • Capacity to manage high-stress situations.

  • Ability to multi-task, manage and independently lead various projects simultaneously.

  • Excellent verbal and written Communication Skills

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, prioritize work and meet deadlines.

  • Strong attention to detail
