Description

• Our client is looking for a visionary and experienced leader to fill the role of Head of IT for its brand.


• The Head of IT will be responsible for developing and executing the brand's technology strategy, overseeing IT operations, and ensuring the bank's IT systems are secure, efficient, and aligned with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the brand's IT strategy in alignment with business goals and industry best practices.


• Provide visionary leadership to the IT department and set clear objectives for technology initiatives.


• Oversee the day-to-day IT operations, including infrastructure management, system administration, and technical support.


• Ensure the availability and reliability of IT systems and services for the brand's operations.


• Implement robust cybersecurity measures to protect the bank's sensitive data and customer information.


• Stay informed about emerging cyber threats and compliance requirements, and take proactive steps to mitigate risks.


• Drive the digital transformation agenda, identifying opportunities to enhance customer experiences through technology.


• Explore and implement innovative digital banking solutions to improve efficiency and competitiveness.


• Ensure the brand's IT systems and practices comply with microfinance banking regulations and data protection laws.


• Collaborate with regulatory authorities and conduct periodic IT audits.


• Manage relationships with IT vendors, service providers, and technology partners.


• Evaluate and select technology solutions that align with the brand's objectives.


• Develop and manage the IT budget, optimizing resource allocation for technology initiatives.


• Monitor IT-related expenses and ensure cost-effectiveness.


• Recruit, train, and mentor IT staff to maintain a skilled and motivated team.


• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's Degree or relevant certifications are a plus.


• 5+ years of proven experience in IT leadership roles within the banking or financial services industry.


• Strong knowledge of banking IT systems, core banking software, and digital banking solutions.


• Expertise in cybersecurity, data protection, and compliance.


• Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.


• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.


• Familiarity with IT budgeting and financial management.


• Proficiency in using IT management tools and software.

Salary Range

N300,000 monthly.
