Job Dimensions / Scope:



  • Ensure effective planning, forecasting, procurement, and storage of required materials to support pipeline project and remediation activities.

  • This will require consistent consultation and engagement with relevant teams across all operational sites to establish baseline material requirement.


Job Knowledge, Skills & Experience:



  • Minimum Qualification: Any relevant degree

  • Years of Experience: 7 years of experience in material management.

  • SAP super user is an advantage.

  • IT Tools / Systems: SAP

  • Team Leadership: Ability Leadership skills of a high order, to communicate with and motivate a team in a challenging environment.

  • Teamwork

  • Communication Skills: Communication and Influencing skills to effectively deal with major contractors, host communities and other stakeholders.


Principal Accountabilities:



  • Facilitate material management guidelines and procedures.

  • Plans and coordinates end-to-end materials management of bulk and engineering equipment, systems, and construction materials in support of project operations within established Material Management Plans, policies, and procedures.

  • Applies knowledge of layout and material-handling procedures.

  • Tracking and reporting of delivery timelines and implementing expediting where necessary.

  • May confer with supervisors of other departments to coordinate flow of materials.

  • Advises Project Materials Management of developments that may substantially affect project costs, schedules, and technical content,

  • As contract holder (CH) for the projects, exercise responsibilities for all stages of the planning, execution and management of own contracts. Undertake compliance audits to ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions and appropriate delivery of all contract deliverables.

  • As budget holder (BH) for materials management activities, exercise responsibilities for cost estimating, budget preparation, commitment and expenditure planning, monitoring, control and reporting, and effective liaison with partners for budget revisions/approvals.

  • Participate in development of department's business plans including budget and HSE plans.
