DESCRIPTION

• Checking protection settings in soft start and Variable Speed Drive (VSD) control units.


• Carry out firmware upgrades in soft start and Variable Speed Drive (VSD) control units as required.


• Propose the modifications required for the safe and reliable operation of the Soft Start and Variable Speed Drive (VSD) units.


• Provide SOW and Bill of materials required to execute the modification.


• Upon COMPANY approval, the Specialist shall supervise the execution of modifications.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelors in Electrical, Instrumentation & Control System Engineering.


• Minimum 10 Years of experience in the installation, troubleshooting, repair, modification, configuration/setting change, testing, commissioning, and startup of MV / LV Soft Starters, and Variable Speed Drive Units.


• Must have knowledge of Soft Starters, and Variable Speed Drive Units ( Rockwell & VECON ).


• Good interpersonal skills and exposure/experience to Offshore platforms.


• Strong written and verbal communication skills.


• Willing to work on short-term (2 weeks) - medium-term (6 months) commissioning/services
