Job Summary

• As a Cable Technician (DSTV), you will play a crucial role in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting DSTV satellite television systems at the resort.

Key Responsibilities

Installation and Setup:

• Perform DSTV satellite dish installations


• Align satellite dishes accurately to ensure optimal signal reception.


• Install decoders, cables, and associated equipment according to DSTV standards.

Maintenance and Repairs:

• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues related to DSTV services.


• Conduct routine maintenance checks to ensure equipment and connections are in good condition.


• Replace or repair faulty components and equipment as needed.

Quality Assurance:

• Ensure all installations and repairs meet DSTV quality standards and guidelines.


• Conduct quality checks to verify that all equipment is functioning correctly.

Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and customer interactions.


• Complete service reports and submit them in a timely manner.

Safety Compliance:

• Adhere to safety protocols and best practices while working with electrical and satellite equipment.


• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.


• Proven experience as a Cable Technician with specific expertise in DSTV installations and maintenance.


• Knowledge of satellite television systems, decoders, and associated equipment.


• Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
