Position Overview
The Chief Engineer will play a pivotal role in leading our engineering and construction teams to new heights of excellence. He/She will be responsible for providing technical leadership, overseeing project design and execution, and ensuring that our engineering solutions are innovative, cost-effective, and compliant with industry standards. The Chief Engineer will be required to dedicate sufficient time on strategic issues in the office and technical issues on site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the design and execution of engineering and construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Supervise various teams to ensure effective execution of projects.
- Develop and implement engineering strategies and initiatives to drive excellence in project delivery.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of talented engineers and technical staff.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and stakeholders to translate project requirements into actionable engineering solutions.
- Drive innovation by exploring emerging technologies and methodologies to enhance project efficiency and sustainability.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and quality control protocols.
- Supervising every phase of the project from start to completion.
- Manage project risks and provide effective solutions to challenges that may arise during construction.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering Discipline (preferably Civil or Mechanical).
- Minimum 20 years professional experience
- Civil Service or Public Sector experience preferred
- Experience with working on Government projects is an added advantage.
- Proven experience in a leadership role within the Engineering and Construction industry.
- Strong project management skills and a track record of successful project delivery.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of engineering principles, codes, and standards.
- Familiarity with relevant software and technology tools.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and sustainability in engineering practices.
- Ability to think strategically and solve complex problems.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
