About the Role



  • We are looking for a Reconciliation Specialist with FX and Payments Experience to join our Finance team.

  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-level reconciliations, analyzing financial data, identifying discrepancies, and resolving outstanding issues.

  • He/she should be analytical, detail-oriented, and have a deep understanding of forex transactions, payment systems, and financial regulations in Africa.


What You Will Be Doing



  • Perform daily reconciliation of transactions from various payment platforms.

  • Identify discrepancies, investigate causes, and rectify or escalate issues as required.

  • Maintain an updated knowledge of the company's products, services, and customer service policies.

  • Understand the foreign exchange market and the impact of currency fluctuations on the reconciliation process.

  • Work closely with the Finance team to resolve reconciliation queries.

  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.

  • Prepare and present reports detailing reconciliation results.

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to improve reconciliation processes and systems.

  • Provide recommendations for system improvements to enhance financial efficiency and reduce reconciliation issues.

  • Provide support to the broader finance team as needed.


You Should Apply If You



  • Have 3+ years of work experience in a similar role within the Financial Services or Fintech industry.

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

  • Possess a deep understanding of forex transactions and payment systems.

  • Are proficient with financial software and databases.

  • Are detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Have excellent organizational and multitasking skills.

  • Are fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Have the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

  • Are comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
