Job Description



Job Purpose



  • The Data Analyst will play a pivotal role in managing, authenticating and synchronizing data from all retail POS terminals and e-commerce (company owned and third-party) platforms.

  • The jobholder will be responsible for developing and maintaining a real-time metrics dashboard that aggregates and tracks all key commercial metrics. 


Core Responsibilities and Key Result Areas


Data Compilation and Integration: 



  • Gather and aggregate data from all sources including sales, customer feedback, and more. 

  • Ensure seamless integration between company-developed software and external e-commerce or retail platforms, facilitating live data streaming. 


Metrics Dashboard Management: 



  • Create, maintain, and update a metrics dashboard using Power BI or specified analytical tools to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs). 

  • Monitor the accuracy and completeness of data displayed on the dashboard, addressing discrepancies promptly.

  • Troubleshoot integration issues and coordinate with technical teams to resolve any discrepancies. 


Real-time Data Monitoring: 



  • Implement and manage mechanisms for live data streaming, allowing the dashboard to display real-time insights from various sources. 

  • Ensure data quality and integrity by conducting regular data validation and cleansing. 

  • Analyze data trends, patterns, and anomalies to provide actionable insights that drive informed business decisions. 

  • Identify opportunities for optimization and growth within the e-commerce and retail landscape. 


Performance Evaluation: 



  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, customer behavior, and conversion rates across various e-commerce channels. 

  • Provide recommendations to enhance sales strategies and customer experience. 

  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, third-party partners, and vendors to ensure smooth data exchange and integration. 

  • Translate technical concepts into non-technical language for stakeholders to understand. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of e-commerce and retail software, including APIs and data connectors.


Documentation and Reporting: 



  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of integration processes, data sources, and metrics calculations. 

  • Generate regular and ad-hoc reports for management, highlighting trends, insights, and areas of concern. 

  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and industry standards when handling customer and transactional data. 

  • Implement data quality checks to identify and rectify data anomalies.

Knowledge Requirements



  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst, preferably with experience in e-commerce, retail, or fast-food industry. 

  • Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI or similar analytical platforms. 

  • Strong SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and analysis. 

  • Familiarity with API integration and data connectors. 

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams. 

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 


Requirements



  • A good first degree in Marketing, Economics, Accounting, Business and related field.

  • Possession of a Post graduate degree in Marketing/Business Administration or related degree is an added advantage

  • Membership of the NIMC, or any other related professional qualification is required.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience or at least 5 years of experience in marketing, digital marketing, or social media marketing with preferred knowledge in food service industry and QSR/fast casual dining
