- As a System Administrator, you will play a critical role in maintaining and optimizing our company's network infrastructure and server systems.
- You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our IT environment.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Server Administration: Manage Windows and Linux servers, including installation, configuration, and maintenance. Perform routine updates, patch management, and security enhancements.
- Active Directory Management: Administer Active Directory services, including user account management, group policies, and security settings.
- Data Backup and Recovery: Implement and oversee data backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Security: Maintain and enhance system security by implementing and managing firewalls, antivirus software, and security policies. Monitor systems for vulnerabilities and respond to security incidents.
- Hardware and Software Management: Procure, install, and maintain server hardware and software. Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor system performance and take proactive measures to optimize and improve server and network efficiency.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, server configurations, and IT procedures.
- User Support: Provide technical support to end-users, addressing hardware and software issues promptly.
- Compliance: Ensure systems and procedures adhere to industry standards and compliance regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience as a System Administrator or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, systems administration, and server management.
- Proficiency in Windows and Linux server environments.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing security measures.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSE, CompTIA Network+, CCNA) are a plus.
