We are looking to hire an experienced Sales officer to help us drive Sendbox’s B2B acquisition efforts. We require a strong ability to sell, commercial acumen and the ability to analyze and grind out results. As a Sales Officer, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, acquiring new clients, and nurturing existing customer relationships. You will play a vital role in expanding our customer base and maximizing revenue opportunities. The ideal candidate is a highly driven individual with a proven track record in sales, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of the e-commerce and logistics industry.
Responsibilities
- Identifying and gathering potential clients across all business verticals (Lead generation)
- Research and identify ideal lead opportunities to explore, guide and engage leads through a strategic discovery process toward qualifying leads.
- Qualify leads as appropriate with essential attention to ensuring only quality leads get into the Business development funnel.
- Manage leads by tracking and following up on them using datatrac.
- Conducts sales presentations as needed to close sales via the phone or through onsite meetings.
- Collaborating with the Growth department to ensure that the company reaches its target businesses.
- Support the Head of Sales to develop and implement a go-to-market strategy to achieve users growth
- Communicate all new customer requirements or special agreements with internal staff to effectively meet customer expectations.
- Provide weekly reports on leads acquired and qualified with suggestions on specific value propositions for each lead.
- Generate new and repeat sales by providing pertinent information to potential customers in a timely manner.
- Present pricing and terms in accordance with standard pricing lists and procedures.
- Manage time effectively, to incorporate customer visits, outbound call requirements and reporting duties.
- Work on other projects as needed.
Skills and Qualifications
- A Higher National Diploma (HND) or Bachelor’s Degree in preferably in Business Administration, Marketing and other related fields.
- Minimum of 3 years’ work experience as a Sales/Business Development Personnel with established experience in generating leads.
- Familiarity with CRM tools is an advantage
- Previous experience in FMCG, logistics or general supply chain is a plus but not mandatory.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel as well as excellent presentation skills.
- Fluency (written and verbal communication skills) is required.
- Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets with business acumen.

- Self-motivated person able to work with minimal supervision.
