Job brief:
Quality assurance officers are responsible for ensuring that the products and services produced by their company meet certain standards of quality. They commonly work with a team of other employees to ensure that all aspects of production—from raw materials to finished goods are handled properly and according to plan.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting audits of company policies to ensure compliance with federal standards
- Updating and improving quality control procedures in response to changes in technology or industry standards
- Monitoring the performance of staff members to ensure that they are performing their jobs effectively
- Reviewing reports generated by computerized equipment to identify defects or other problems that may affect product quality
- Observing production processes to ensure that they are being carried out correctly
- Reviewing customer complaints to determine if they are justified or if they can be resolved with minimal action from the company
- Conducting research on new technology that could improve operations within the company
- Reporting any issues with equipment or processes to the appropriate staff member for correction
- Monitoring employee performance to ensure compliance with standards or regulations
