Job Description:
As the Chief Security Officer (CSO) for our client's onshore facility in Escravos, Warri, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, security, and protection of personnel, assets, and operations. This leadership position requires an individual with a strong military background, extensive security and safety training, and proven experience in leadership roles.
Key Responsibilities:
Security Leadership:
- Develop and implement comprehensive security strategies, policies, and procedures.
- Lead a security team and ensure their training, readiness, and effectiveness.
- Conduct regular security assessments and risk analyses.
Safety Compliance:
- Oversee safety programs and ensure adherence to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Implement safety training and awareness programs for staff and contractors.
- Monitor safety compliance and investigate safety incidents.
Threat Assessment and Mitigation:
- Identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
- Develop and execute security plans to mitigate risks.
- Coordinate with law enforcement agencies and security partners.
Emergency Response:
- Develop and implement emergency response plans and drills.
- Lead crisis management efforts in the event of security incidents or emergencies.
Leadership and Training:
- Provide strong leadership and mentorship to the security team.
- Ensure that security personnel receive ongoing training and development.
- Foster a culture of professionalism, discipline, and dedication.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Prior military service with the Nigerian Police Force (NPF) or the Nigerian Army is mandatory.
- Security and safety certifications, such as Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP), are required.
- Proven experience in leadership roles, preferably as a CSO or in a similar security capacity.
- Strong knowledge of security and safety protocols and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and make critical decisions.
- Not more than 50 years of age.
