The primary function of this role is to provide support in designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining the packet core network infrastructure in a cloud environment.
The packet core is the part of a mobile network that manages and routes traffic between the mobile devices and external networks.
What You Will Do
Solid knowledge of Ericsson CLOUD Solutions and Products (CEE,
Solving KPI degradations across SGSNs/MMEs using Events Based Monitoring (EBM) analysis, Mobility log and Session logs
System administration of packet core nodes: SGSN-MME, MPG, DNS Servers (Internet, Internal and External), PCC, PCG and SAPC
System administration of cloud solutions: CEE, CCD
Analysis of Customers' problems using signaling and userplane traces of GPRS interfaces (Gr/Gb/Gn/Gi/Gom, S11, S1-MME, SGS. etc.) for solving and analysis
Open Customer Service Request (CSR) and assisting Support Team in CSR solving
Daily routine health checks on SGSN-MME, MPG, DNS Servers (Internet, Internal and External), SAPC, CEE.
Provide Support to Ericsson Emergency team in solving/recovering of major failures on the Network
Ensure KPIs are within target on all Packet Core Nodes in the network.
Collaborating with other IT teams, security, and network teams, to ensure that the packet core network infrastructure integrates seamlessly with other systems.
You will bring
BSc, MSc, or higher level in Computer Science or the equivalent level of knowledge
Min 5 years of experience Domain of packet core/Cloud domain
Familiarity with cloud-native principles e.g. Scalability, service-based architecture, Kubernetes and network plugins, helm charts
Scripting skills in for example Bash, Python, Perl
It´s a plus if you have a keen understanding of IP protocols and IP-based routing in an embedded environment and a passion to learn and develop new skills.
