Job Role



  • Start the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems

  • Provide counseling on policies and procedures

  • Be actively involved in recruitment by preparing job descriptions, posting ads and managing the hiring process

  • Create and implement effective onboarding plans

  • Develop training and development programs

  • Assist in performance management processes

  • Support the management of disciplinary and grievance issues

  • Maintain employee records (attendance, data etc.) according to policy and legal requirements

  • Review employment and working conditions in line with our policies to ensure legal compliance

  • work closely with various departments, increasingly in a consultancy role, assisting line managers to understand and implement HR policies and procedures

  • promote equality and diversity as part of the culture of the organisation

  • liaise with a range of people involved in policy areas such as staff performance, annual leave, health and safety

  • recruit staff, which involves developing job descriptions and person specifications, preparing job adverts, checking application forms, shortlisting, interviewing and selecting candidates

  • make sure that prospective staff have the required qualification/experience to work at the organisation

  • develop and implement policies on issues like productivity, performance management, and feedback, disciplinary procedures and absence management

  • advise on pay and other remuneration issues, including roadmap to promotion, and incentive benefits for extraordinary performance

  • undertake regular salary reviews in line with economic realities and productivity

  • manage redundancy /exit programmes

  • interpret and advise on HR best practices guided by the economic realities and the peculiarity of Nigeria’s business operating environment

  • deal with grievances and implement disciplinary procedures

  • develop HR planning strategies, which consider immediate and long-term staff requirements

  • plan and sometimes deliver training, including new staff inductions

  • analyse training needs in conjunction with departmental managers.

  • Be responsible for identifying training needs, designing and delivering training programs, and evaluating their effectiveness. They create teaching plans, develop instructional materials, and ensure employees' growth aligns with company goals.

  • Get involved in all business driving of the organization.

  • Be responsible for membership drive and services of the Institute.

  • And any other responsibilities or duties that may be assigned from time to time


Requirements:



  • Must be between the age of 35 years and above

  • Must have worked in same capacity in the past with notable business organization with excellent performance record.

  • Must be very skilful in the discharge of executive function

  • Must be a very brilliant, intelligent and “A grade” extrovert person...this is absolutely important!

  • Must be a holder of Master’s degree in related discipline.


Expected remuneration for this role is N120,000.00- N150,000.00 subject to review based on productivity, loyalty, and professionalism.
