LOCATION: SHAGAMU, OGUN STATE


Job Summary:


Responsible to extract quantity from drawings Rate Analysis, Cost estimation, Preparation of BBS, Material Quantification, Material Cost estimation, billing and MIS.


Job Responsibilities:



  • Reviewing construction plans and preparing quantity requirements.

  • Scrutinizing maintenance and material costs, as well as contracts to ensure the best deals.

  • Liaising with site managers, clients, contractors, and subcontractors.

  • Preparing reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessment, and other documents.

  • Keeping track of materials and ordering more when required.

  • Documenting any changes in design and updating budgets

  • Prepare quantity sheet from onsite data & drawings

  • Prepare bill of quantities (BOQ) & bills with item rates from tender

  • Prepare & process subcontractor bills

  • To take the measurement from the site engineer

  • To get work done as per the protocol of the company

  • To follow up on the accounts department for payment

  • Review the quantities item listed

  • Checking and certification of bills and invoices from vendors and contractors

  • Checking measurements

  • Bill certification

  • Price/forecast the cost of the different materials needed for the project

  • Assist in establishing a client's requirements and undertake feasibility studies to ensure their proposals will work

  • Prepare and analyze project costings for tenders, such as materials, quantities, labor and time

  • Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client

  • Negotiate contracts and work schedules

  • Allocate work to subcontractors and oversee their work at all stages of the construction

  • Perform risk, value management and cost control during construction

  • Undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work

  • Advise on a procurement strategy

  • Identify, analyze and develop responses to commercial risks

  • Provide advice on contractual claims and disputes

  • Analyze outcomes and write detailed progress reports

  • Value completed work, oversee bills and arrange payments

  • Maintain awareness of the different building contracts in current use

  • Understand the implications of health and safety regulations.


Requirements and skills:



  • Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, engineering, management, or similar.

  • Construction estimating or finance experienced is advantageous.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

  • Sound knowledge of construction.

  • Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to organize, plan, and strategize.

  • A valid driver's license.

  • Great networking abilities.
